About Jocelyn, Babka Beach founder
Hey, there! I’m Jocelyn (surprise!)

When I’m not baking gluten-free babka I read a lot of books researching for the novel(s!) that I’ll write one day. I love spending time with family, and playing games with friends, and video games; you can also find me painting or hand-knitting from time to time. I am also passionate about the environment, which is why I donate a portion of Babka Beach profits to Soundwaters, an organization in my town of Stamford, Connecticut focused on protecting the waters of our beautiful Long Island Sound and educating students about the risks of climate change and microplastics.

I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Hartford and a master’s degree in modern Jewish studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. My goal is to create positive change and joy through my gluten-free babka. When I can, I write up and share good environmental news—there are always things to be done for our planet—or babka pairing suggestions on Da Blawg.

Thank you for being here and supporting my small business!
